Project title: Activization of life and development of their own initiatives by the population.

Activity area: Culture and education of children and youth, transmission of the memory of the Chernobyl accident

Implementation place: the village of Rovkovichi, Chechersk district, Gomel region

Target group: theschoolchildren, young people, active countrymen

Project duration: 1 year

Project aim: The project aims at the a ctivization of the life attitudes and uniting of aspirations of the country people to improve the quality of life in the contaminated area through elaboration and implementation of their own projects.

Objectives:

1. Involving all the people concerned with the project in its development; information support of the local population;
2. Preparation and implementation of cultural mass events, seminars, joint actions on activization of life and reduction of radiological risk;
3. Development of creative and musical circles, sports groups ;
4. Development of the joint initiatives of the village inhabitants .

Project implementation/Activities:

For activization of life in the village , where the situation remains difficult (a lot of relocated population, unemployment, hard drinking), a number of measures are planned:

1. Informing the local population and drawing the people in the development of their own interests;
2. Creation or support of various associations of the schoolchildren, youth and other village inhabitants;
3. Formation and preparation of the joint local initiatives - projects;
4. Realization of the joint action - " Let's revive the life in the village".

Expected results:

• the significant part of the countrymen is involved in the process of normalization and improvement of life in the village;
• various associations of the citizens work and receive support;
• new projects for the village are worked out and put forward;
