Project title: " I take care of my health, I will save it".

Priority area : Health care and surveillance.

Location: School (lyceum) n 1, Stolin, Brest region.

Target group: students, teachers, medical stuff, parents, methodical unity of physical training teachers.

Project duration: 1 year.

Project aim : popularization of healthy way of life among children and teenagers, children and teenagers health improvement.

Objectives:

1. To work out and introduce programmes of prevention of children and teenagers' musculoskeletal system diseases.
2. To encourage children's and teenagers' interest in healthy way of life.
3. To improve school's logistical base.

Project Implementation/ Activities:

1. Health surveillance, carrying out thorough children's health examination.
2. Acquisition of necessary materials and creation of a special multifunctional school town.
3. Working out programmes of prevention of children and teenagers' musculoskeletal system diseases and preparation of written recommendations for all the interested.
4. Holding a seminar with the teachers of physical training, the district medical stuff, the partners.
5. Introduction of programmes in other district schools, with the schools, situated in the 5 most contaminated villages, coming first.

It is planned to bring about cooperation of this project with the action "Healthy Motherhood" of the CORE Programme, which has been carried out since 2004 in Slavgorod district.

Expected results: Improvement of physical development conditions of children; creation of special places where children could spend their free time safely.
