| Project title: Environment. Health. Human Being Activity area: Culture and education of children and youth, transmission of the memory of the Chernobyl disaster. Implementation place: Slavgorod, "Kaleidoscope" Club, Children`s Department of the Central Library. Target group: The first-ninth graders of Slavgorod Schools Nos. 1 and 2, the tutors of kindergartens Nos. 1, 3, 4, and the educationalists who teach "Basic Survivor`s Skills" and the special course "Healthy Lifestyle" in schools. Project duration: 1 year Project aim: Arranging the meetings at "Kaleidoscope Club", the Project shall teach children the basic skills of safe living on the radioactively contaminated lands. Since 2001, the library has been providing radio-ecological education for children and teenagers within the programme "Our fate is in the nature`s fate". Certain results have been achieved. But expectations of the pupils and teachers are still very high. We hope that this Project would allow all the interested people to attain the ultimate goal and find answers to many questions. Objectives: - Inform about the environmental situation and radioactive contamination using the data provided by radiological services of the district;
- Collect information and preserve the memory of the Chernobyl disaster through publications in mass media;
- Provide children with a comprehensive system of information on how to live safely on the contaminated territories;
- Creation of topical data bases " Chernobyl" and "Healthy Lifestyles" on CD-ROMs;
- Health care, promotion of healthy lifestyles.

- Preparing of their own materials on environmental education by the Club members;
- Creation of the Centre of Environmental Culture, Education and Information on the premises of "Kaleidoscope" Club.
