Project title: Cultivating and selling the mushroom "veshenka" (experimentally).

Activity area: Social and economic development of the contaminated rural areas

Implementation place: Nisimkovichi secondary and nursery school, Chechersk district

Target group: the schoolchildren, the teachers, the population of Nisimkovichi

Project duration: initial stage - 1 year

Project aim: Providing the children and the adult population with clean products. The project is supposed to result in providing the schoolchildren with free mushrooms; and selling the mushrooms to the population of the village will allow using the receipts for further production.

Objectives:

  1. Arrangement of a premise, purchase of the materials and mastering the technology of cultivation of the mushroom "veshenka";
  2. Accumulation of above the budget resources for the needs of the school;
  3. Vocational guidance of the schoolchildren and preparing them for their future work.

The implementation of the project will allow substituting wood mushrooms characterized by high accumulation of radionuclide, with ecologically clean production cultivated on the ground which has not been contaminated.

Project implementation/Activities:

  • Arranging the premise for cultivation of the mushrooms;
  • Preparing the materials;
  • Sowing the mycelium and growing the mushrooms.

Expected results:

  • Providing clean mushrooms for the children`s nutrition;
  • Selling the production to the population of Chechersk district;
  • Training the village inhabitants in alternative methods of production;
  • Creating of additional workplaces.
