Project duration: 1 year

Project aim: Raising the social status of the disabled children in the community.

Objectives:

1. Training the disabled children of 10-14 in professional planting of greenery in populated areas (towns and villages);
2. Giving the children an opportunity to realize themselves practically and to feel equal in rights and value with other members of the community .

Project implementation/Activities:

• Putting in order the territory adjoining the educational center and installation of a greenhouse;
• Purchase of seeds and cultivation of seedlings;
• Laying out flowerbeds, planting greenery in the city;
• Sharing experience with other children`s houses and foreign partners .

Expected results: Labour rehabilitation of the disabled children; improvement of the city views; receiving the sources for the enrichment of the children`s nutrition, arranging holidays, gifts, prizes for the children. Socialization and integration of the disabled children in the community.

Implementing organisation:

Tamara Aleksejevna Makejeva , the director of the Correctional and Developing Training and Rehabilitation Centre . The Centre is a special establishment providing particular education for the children with heavy multiple deviations in development.
