- The national subsidiary production and trade unitary enterprise 'Nadezhda' of the Gomel Crafts Factory 'Lyubna'
- The joint-stock company 'Chechersk district Industrial Machinery'
The 'Nadezhda' Enterprise does not have a strong marketing service; therefore it continually faces sales problems. The enterprise's equipment is completely worn, which prevents it from making new types of products. 'The Chechersk District Industrial Machinery enterprise' is a loss-making company. The main factors contributing to negative economic performance are accounts payable accrued as a result of insolvency of agricultural enterprises which rid the enterprise of current assets. The main industrial enterprise in the district is 'The Chechersk Wine Plant'. Its industrial output totalled 119,000 dollars, the share in the total industrial output of the district is 75%. Payments of this enterprise constitute the greatest share of the local budget (40%). The Chechersk District has two privately owned production enterprises ('Vozrozhdeniye' and 'Dion'), operating in the woodworking domain. Service and trade enterprises The Chechersk District has a community production unitary enterprise 'Chechersk Combined Communal Service Enterprise', providing various types of services: renting, chemical laundry, hairdressing, clothes made to order, photo, and repair of furniture. Trade services in the district are provided by the Chechersk District Consumer Cooperation Society (the share of retail trade of this enterprise in the district is 70%). The district has 7 private shops, a shop of the Zhlobin Meat Enterprise and a shop of the Gomel 'Consumer Goods' enterprise. Enterprises for extraction and processing of raw materials The state specialized forestry institution 'Chechersk Special Forestry' is engaged in wood logging in the contaminated areas.
